This full bodied wine is a perfect expression of our Horse Heaven AVA, a perfect pairing of soil, varietal and climate. A rich nose of summer ripened blackberries, dried currants and cigar box. A little chalky on the palate, this full bodied wine finishes richly with a deep earthy lingering finish imparted by the aging in French Oak Barrels. Aging capability: 8-10 years.
Winemakers Notes
The grapes were picked at perfect ripeness and full of flavor then sorted and crushed / de-stemmed. Fermentation took place in small 1 ton bins and the wines were fermented to dryness. The wine was aged predominantly in small French Oak Barrels.
Blend Composition: 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Syrah
Alcohol by Volume: 14.8%
