It takes up to an hour and a half for you fridge to cool your wine down and the freezer is not really any faster than the fridge and can be a big mess if you happen to “forget” about it!
In a wine bucket or other high-sided container mix one cup of water and one tablespoon of salt. Place your bottle of wine into the container and add about two cups of ice and another cup or so of water. Continue adding ice and water until it reaches about three inches from the top of the container. After *ten minutes you may drain some or all of the water and serve your chilled wine! (*15 minutes for sparkling wine, or on really warm days.)
